Weisses Brauhaus zu Kelheim in Kelheim

Very nice house - outside and inside. Cozy and inviting. Unfortunately, I can't say that good about the food: In a brewery you expect hearty, tasty food in a generous amount. Unfortunately that was not the case with us; Soup (with my wife) bland to her taste, very little and no content; Sausage salad (for me) very little, tasteless brew and not really good bread - but that's all a matter of taste. We were disappointed and cannot recommend it.

We visited here Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2020, on the Friday sitting outside in the attractive courtyard biergarten at the rear and on Saturday inside in what is a familiar traditional bavarian bierhalle. The brewery, shop and this restaurant are all next to each other in the centre of town, just on the eastern edge. It's easy to find as it stands out and is close to one of the bridges across the Danube. We were stopping in the campervan parking area which was just 500metres away. I found the shop a little bit small and a touch disappointing, however you can get all the core range of beers here plus a plethora of merchandise, however this was one of the few negatives. Staff here were really friendly, really good with COVID-19 rules, regulations and procedures and really good at their job. We never ate here but the menu looked good. Beers were as expected top notch, every beer we had really was great, I love the fact that you can drink the Eisbock and it's only €4.30 or €4.50 for the pleasure of drinking in. The establishment was really lovely, we particularly liked the courtyard biergarten, it was really lovely, mostly paved with a statue or two and beyond the wall a stream. Inside as already described it was really traditional, lot's of wood and plenty of locals. We will definitely return here it's one of the best of the bigger brewery taprooms I've been to in Germany and much better than the one on Tal in München.

A quaint inn with a nice beer garden. There were three of us in the beer garden and wanted to eat and drink. There was a lot going on on Sunday, but overall it was manageable. Unfortunately we were always overlooked by the waitress so that we could only place our order after about 20 minutes. But as soon as 45 minutes had passed we had "already" our food ... unfortunately burnt schnitzel and a poor roast pork. And nicely arranged, burnt side down and stacked schnitzel with ready-made potato salad from the ready-made bucket and a roast pork that fell apart when it was touched with a fork. After about 2 hours, we were allowed to pay with tip 50 € immediately, we left the inn. And we are never safe in this inn

Place is nice. However it took 55 minutes to be served and t he waitress was very very much rude when asked about the food. It feels like they are doing us a favor!!!! Unbelievable and unacceptable!!!

Ambience really nice, staff friendly and courteous. In my opinion, however, the price / performance ratio is not right. I like to pay a little more, but then this should be justified in some way. The food is certainly a matter of taste, unfortunately it didn't match mine.

Was there about two weeks ago on a trip to Kelheim. Was there to eat in the afternoon, after a short wait at the entrance I was offered a place in the beer garden. The waitress came after a while and I ordered the roulade and a wheat beer, both of which were very good. On the next excursion that will definitely come, I think I'll come back.

Very nice ambience 😍! Despite the full beer garden, the food was quick and our service was extremely friendly and charming. I had baked potatoes with salmon for dinner 👉 was delicious too. Conclusion for every trip to Kelheim to be recommended! 😊 💯 🍻

Worth seeing, with a nice little beer garden. There is a climbing house with a slide for the toddlers. An absolute must for wheat beer fans, if only because of the many varieties, but of course also because of the tradition.

Very nice beer garden. Friendly and attentive staff. Food at its best, even if a little tight for the price. That costs the star. The beer is a dream. The ceiling of the dining room is very nicely painted. Comes on my list to go again.

We are here on vacation and have already been here twice to eat. Super nice staff, super friendly, very attentive and courteous. The food is delicious, I had beef roast and my husband had the roulades. The meat was super tender and the spaetzle were also very tasty. You sit in a beautiful beer garden where you can relax. So we can absolutely recommend the Bräuhaus. TOP!

This is not our first time here and we are sure not for the last time either. The pork knuckles are really great! It's worth coming just for that !! The staff was very friendly and accommodating even now during the Corona times🤗

There were two of us to eat. At first we had a very nice waitress, who then swapped with another! We got the meal and there was a black hair on my husband's schnitzel. (We are both blonde) My husband immediately complained to the waitress, she said she was going to be right away .... After she had at least 10 !!!!! once walked past us and she saw that my husband was sitting in front of his dinner and did not eat, she would have noticed at some point, or should have remembered, aaah there was something else! Not until we hit them after 15 !!! Minutes again she came and said: Oh dear, I've forgotten that! Then she would have brought another meal, she didn't need that, we paid and left! In addition, she would have charged a side salad that my husband ordered but didn't get. I can only say that not everyone is born to work in service. We can only say never again ........

Good food at a good price. Nice beer garden. Historic dining rooms. The waitresses were nice despite the queues.

Nice beer garden, nice service, only the food was a disappointment. You don't expect to eat starred in the beer garden, that's why we only ordered currywurst, schnitzel and sausage salad, thought you couldn't go wrong. Apparently it does! If I have to pay for the food, and nothing less, it should taste good too. I was disappointed again 😢

This beer garden is cozy on a small brook. Shady and rustic. The wait staff have an overview and the beer is rightly famous for its quality all over the world. Here you can also drink the Eisbock or Wheat Doppelbock, which unfortunately can rarely be found on drinks menus. The food wasn't spectacular, but it doesn't have to be. It met all taste requirements without exception and was not a bit careless. Excellent! 🍻

Unfortunately I have to award a star. The food was a catastrophe, the baked ham was absolutely dry and after a complaint, got a new portion and even worse. Nobody asked if the food was right now. The sausage salad was a mini serving and only tasted like water. The drinks and the food could only be ordered from certain waitresses and they never came. If it doesn't have to be then please avoid this beer garden an absolute disappointment.

Happened upon here by mistake. Turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises. With excellent hospitality and friendliness from the staff. With great food and selections on tap.

Very nice cozy beer garden. Staff is super nice and deserves 5 stars. The food is delicious but the portions have become very small in 2020. Hence 1 star deduction. The beer tastes great. We always like to go there.

Only German bank cards are accepted..bring cash or be forced to find a cash maschine.

Waitress took my cash after inexplicably claiming they only took German credit cards (...this is the land of the EU after all, to which my card belongs) and then didn't return any change until (some 5 minutes later) pressed. Food and beer nice, however

Very yummy dinner spot! This was recommended by our local city tour guide as a great spot. I ate the Peasants Feast and it was great! Also the white asparagus are amazing if they are in season. Busy place, but indoor and outdoor seating and 2 stories so we found a seat no problem.

Perfect place for traditional Bavarian food. Wether you sit outside in the beergarden, or Insider, you will enjoy your experience. The staff are very friendly, the food is great, and atmosphere is unbeatable.
